Rafa bullied Novak off the court, whilst also discombobulating him with moments of touch & finesse.

Rafa hugged the baseline, ‘red-lined’ his game with venomous groundstrokes & proved superior in the net exchanges, displaying terrific craft & sleight of hand.

Nadal showed EXACTLY why he is the 'King of Clay'...

Rafa made a formidable start, immediately putting Djokovic on the back foot. The Serb was overwhelmed, and, as a consequence, produced a rather subdued display.

From the get-go, it was clear that Diego's energy levels were depleted (mammoth match w/ Thiem). Once again, Rafa took a step forward in terms of his level. This match allowed him to gauge his ability to 'slug it out'/overcome a physical battle
