Last month, and for the 9th summer, Fraser and I set out on our father-son adventure!

The 2026 “Song of the Open Road” took us through 9 states (IN, IL, WI, MN, SD, MT, WY, NE, IA) for 3,855.8 miles of unsupervised shenanigans!

Varsity @WNWarriorHoops Summer League wrapped up this weekend at Midwest Live in Sandusky.

Four games (East Lansing, Cass Tech, Warren Lincoln & Ferndale) across Friday/Saturday.

Four games (Mansfield Senior, Chillicothe, St. Charles, and Western Hills)… and some deep threes, full-chested rebounds, and scrappy play for # 12!

Great day at @WSU_MBB for Varsity @WNWarriorHoops Summer League. Played three games (Trotwood Madison, Dayton Northridge, and Cincinnati LaSalle).

Varsity @WNWarriorHoops Summer League at Ohio State about to begin. Three games on the docket today (Hilliard Bradley, Lutheran East, and Cincinnati Princeton).

Yesterday, Fraser missed his 86,785th shot.

On the next attempt, he swished in his 250,000th make.

It’s been 1 basket at a time since his 1st shot went in on Nov. 8, 2021.

CONGRATS on becoming the 10th person to hit that milestone at the Lewis Center @justhoopscbus!

DAY 4: We met my wife in Chicago (who had flown in earlier for a conference).

Fraser loves “origin stories”, so he opted for Pizzeria Uno, where the deep-dish pizza was invented in 1943! He’s now been to the birthplace of wings & hot chicken!

DAY 3: We were up extra early & drove nearly 3 hours from Marquette to Fort Wilkins in Copper Harbor. Check the map! Waaaay up there!

Built in 1844 to keep peace in copper country, those troops were called to fight in the Mexican-American War.

DAY 3: After the copper mine, we made our way out of the UP & began our journey around the other side of Lake Michigan.

We settled in Green Bay. Phenomeonal food & a chance to show Fraser how Lambeau Field is literally sitting in a neighborhood.
