Anyone who tells you that "all studios" are using AI, that an AI dominated future is "inevitable", or that "AI is here to stay" are either fear mongering in order to pressure you into settling/complying and accepting slop, OR are just making excuses for themselves.

@WatchChibi @NomuraAkane You’ve answered your own question. Public libraries and distributions, not scraped in a shady manner from hard working artists who aren’t being paid. It’s almost like contract work in a way.

AI uses tons of power and steals the data and opportunity. It’s lazy and wasteful imo

It was a moronic decision then. But I wouldn’t be surprised if he used AI to justify laying off more people.

I hate AI. Truly.

I understand the best case scenario for LLM use in games would be menial, non-creative work that saves everyone time.

But with the detrimental environmental effects still being in play makes me uneasy at best to support AI being used in ANY point of game dev.

These tools are terribly imperfect and C-suite execs will use it to fill the bottom line at any cost

As mentioned above, we’ve seen backpedaling since execs found AI to cost more than the people they were gutting

All for the PUBLIC, for which it never should’ve been made available to, to make slop upon slop. This shit is NOT sustainable. Why are we using it now?
