THAT 3-3 was a formative experience as a teenager. It was Fortress Home Park personified. Never thought we'd out perform that against Cardiff. What do I know...?

Herein lies a harsh reality for Argyle. An owner must be happy to lose on average £29.6m per year to be a Championship club and I suspect this number rises annually. It essentially means you gamble for the riches of the PL whilst trying to avoid relegation and/or admin.

The average attendance in the @EFL Championship at the weekend was 22,120.
Forty years ago it was 5,984.
Average losses in the Championship are £570,000 a week. Player sales and owner subsidies help clubs to survive.
Football doesn’t have a selling seats problem, it has a cost control problem. (Thanks to John Sayers for the pic)
Well I fucking never. Corner well and truly turned and the Play Off push is on!
A big week ahead in the transfer market and who knows... two trips to Wembley lads?
Come on you Greens!

Unfortunately I don't see any redeeming aspect of Tom Cleverley's tenure to cling onto and so whilst early, I think we need a new manager.
We desperately need an experienced DoF to sit above Fox too to steer the ship so to speak.

@TonyDraper12 🤣 Tbf I can't say I know much about your gaffer or your style of play etc.
What I can say though is that our recent list of managers includes Wayne Rooney...
Bali hasn't been good for a little while but we've had poor managers constantly changing tactics and his role.
A good manager, settled squad and at WB, he's easily one of the best players in LG1.
Good biz for all given context but I hope we have a sell on %.

Huddersfield Town are closing in on the signing of Plymouth Argyle right-back Bali Mumba.
It’s understood the clubs have agreed a deal in the region of £1m.
Mumba, 24, is due to undergo a medical with #HTFC tomorrow.

@OfficialTomKirk I think you're forgetting how bad West was pal!
The Baidoo transfer was a mess mind. I feel for the lad. Of course he was going to struggle adapting to English football after finishing a domestic campaign of his own. Was entirely the wrong window in which to sign him.
@CarlBarnard15@TheHubFoulston Worked alongside the ACT on several initiatives since Foulston Park has opened and I don't think enough recognition is given to the work they do across the city and wider region helping thousands of people.
Tweeted this in October...
Hindsight doesn't need to be 20/20 here. This is a poor LG1 and any bang average manager would have seen us dramatically improve from Oct/Nov.
Reckon TC finally gets the boot in Feb/Mar time when we've wasted another season and more cash.

@mattchandler95 It's every set piece or coming together, hence 8 minutes of stoppage time. I somewhat respect the shithousery. Do what you have to do win (and you deserve the lead) but your lads are definitely taking the biscuit.
English football is truly unique in the biggest sport in the world, and yet rather than protect that, at every juncture we destroy it piece by piece pretending it's 'progress'.
The PL will force this through as they have with many other changes and the demise will continue.
First away day of the season for me.
200 metres into the drive home and we've got a flat tyre.
2+ hours later and a visit from the AA and we're finally on our way back.
Bothered? Nah mate. 5 fucking 1!

@tony_broc I think it's unlikely he moves on after just six months into a multiple year contract. It does happen, and there's talk he has a release clause, but it's pretty rare. Obviously there's lots of conjecture there, but I'm pretty confident he'll be here all season.
We're certainly becoming harder to score against and beat. It's not pretty but the impact of Adams Plan is slowly starting to show. Still incredibly reliant on Tolaj for goals. Hopefully we can keep on improving defensively and find some better attackers in January.

@hugegills@chapperslfc14 Exactly this. Finn (and others before) have shown they have talent, but when they're too good for the U18s and not quite there for the first 11 they have nowhere to go. Not sure there's lots of benefit to a 17yo getting kicked all over Non League either. An U21 team would help.
@beercan75 I'm with you but I don't think even Finn changes it as much as some make out. Obviously, it can't get much worse than where we are right now, but he's largely struggled against LG1 opposition. Very good in the Vertu and he's got huge potential.
@bostonfmblog Yeah, I've also played since early CM days and with a lot less time on my hands nowadays as an adult, it's nice to rattle through some of the save without needing to dedicate months to it.
