This report contains actionable steps that #tech companies can take to recruit, hire and retain more women of color in their organizations. I am proud to be a member of the @theNASEM committee that undertook this critical work. https://t.co/tuO3aAQACX
We’ve all heard this story before. Man harasses woman after woman, eventually someone is brave enough to report him, a quiet investigation confirms the reports, & he quietly gets hired elsewhere. @ShikhaJainMD, @arghavan_salles, & Vineet Arora (@theNASEM)

1/ I was reading Science magazine, about NIH removing sex harassers from PI status for grants and came across a sentence that took my breath away:
"A larger number of NIH-funded scientists, 125, have been barred from serving as peer reviewers for grants. "

This is the start of a thread about my upcoming retirement on 15 March 2021 from the University of Oregon and why I am going to use the title Professor Emerit instead of the usual titles of Professor Emeritus or Professor Emerita.
But first -
Dear Friends, Today I learned that the UO has had a change of heart regarding the retirement program I am attaching my email to my colleague in psychology at UO explaining I am so thankful for your support. Together we can pursue justice and equity.

These retirement package stipulations seem really similar in intent to those non-disclosure agreements survivors of sexual harassment have been made to sign (which are now starting to be banned). Keep up the good fight @jjfreydcourage! https://t.co/yofEHWu7a5

Okay... This would be awesome #scicomm - In honor of the contribution that @DollyParton made to the development of the new #COVID19#vaccines, I took a stab at some new lyrics... Any takers from the singers out there?
