Our devs are working around the clock to get staking ready for the devnet.

For those unfamiliar, every token launched on Pumpkin comes with built-in staking, which automatically enables upon graduation.

Heading to bed here shortly, but wanted to share some thoughts with you all before I do.

I'm really proud and excited about the work we are doing at @pumpkindotfun. I mean this sincerely. The memecoin space is many things - there are some absolutely incredible things about it, but there also some bad ones. Pumpkin aims to make the good things great, add some new awesome things, and then reduce the incentives and opportunity for the bad ones. At its core, Pumpkin aims to reward you - whether you are the creator, the token holder, or the trader. Our team is bringing you a real platform, $PKIN (a token with incredible utility), and a promise of forever changing SOL token launches for the better.

I mentioned earlier that our dev team was working on completing the development for staking, as well as adding a few key features for the Open Devnet. We also have been working with the helpful closed Devnet testers, who today released several tokens on the Pumpkin Devnet using the mobile version of the site. We got excellent feedback on some of the design and layout portions of the mobile UI, and also squashed a few bugs being reported. We are working hard to get this thing ready to go!

Regarding the upcoming Open Devnet, I know a lot of you are anxious to get your hands on the platform, and I promise you will soon.

I strongly recommend creating a new wallet with @phantom or @solflare_wallet specifically for this.

One other thing I would recommend is for everyone to utilize https://t.co/9AP4VfMNd8 and start loading up on Devnet SOL. It is completely free (it's not real SOL), and you will need it in order to create and buy tokens on the Pumpkin Devnet. You'll need a @github account, but it is free to create and only takes a minute.

Note that some people have experienced issues with the Solana site telling them their GitHub account is too new to utilize the faucet. For that reason I am stocking up on Devnet SOL and can share with some people who are unable to acquire their own. Others who have existing GitHub accounts, if you'd be willing to help out by sharing with others it would be sincerely appreciated. 🎃
