@kunley_drukpa Bodega just means "store" in Spanish. There's never been anything superior about them, but it used to be unique & special that our convenience stores had ethnic flair
@constans@PhilSustainable In NYC they're electric vehicles driven by people from chaotic 3rd world countries who don't speak English and are trying to maximize their Doordash earnings. Every honest person recognizes the issue "micromobility" has become in NYC
@constans@PhilSustainable That is not what has happened in NYC, and in fact it's not what happens in any bike-friendly city. In Copenhagen for example the sidewalks are full of bikes, but they're normal pedal bikes maneuvered by ultra high-conscientiousness Danes.
@Jcstearnswriter@QuetzalThoughts I think you're failing to recognize the they/thems around you are coloring your perception. I grew up in a 100% secular environment and almost every guy would be more likely to sort a low "body count" woman into a serious relationship category
@ManhattanMingle Just outside this image there's usually yellow cabs from west end to west side highway. No idea why it's like this now, the cultural center has been there since time immemorial but only started getting this kind of traffic in the past few years
This delivery guy hit my friend's daughter yesterday and took off, she is hospitalized.
I understand the orange bikes are rented out to delivery services. @NYPDnews@NYPD7Pct
Ludlow & Hester streets.
@xwanyex As a native New Yorker, I'm unironically a fan of this exact type of diversity too. I love a quick trip to the ethnic parts of town but I want my neighborhood to be orderly.
