A 'British man' has been arrested over alleged spying on RAF Akrotiri in Cyprus for the Iranian military.

Rashad Sultanov, 44, from Islington, north London, is accused of "hostile surveillance" on the base and passing information to the IRGC. He was detained by Cypriot police on 17 July and is in custody pending extradition.
