Before the F-35, there was the X-35A. ✈️
26 years ago today, the X-35A took to the skies for the first time, paving the way for what would become a global fleet of 1,375+ F-35s delivered and more than 1 million flight hours logged.
And it all started here. 👇
The RCAF received its first two CF35As yesterday at Luke Air Force Base in Arizona. The future of air and space power is built on more than equipment alone.
He served in the U.S. Air Force and was an advocate for veterans — Tom Skerritt, known for roles in "Alien," "Top Gun" and TV's "Picket Fences," dies at age 93

We signed a new agreement with the DOW to build a multiyear contract for the F-35, designed to reinforce our longstanding partnership and save billions in taxpayer dollars.
On October 22 at 3:00 p.m. (MDT), officials from the Canadian Armed Forces will provide an update on the incident that occurred at CFB Wainwright on October 17 and respond to questions from the media.

Two ways you can help the injured and remember the Fallen:
- Donate blood at your local blood bank. Book at https://t.co/qyrSUMbqbM, or through Héma-Québec in Quebec.
- Attend your local cenotaph on Remembrance Day, November 11.
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.
Esprit de Corps wishes to extend our sincerest condolences to the families, friends, and fellow service members of the four Canadian Armed Forces soldiers who tragically lost their lives in the fire at CFB Wainwright.
It is with profound sadness that we confirm that a fire incident at CFB Wainwright on October 17 resulted in fatalities and injuries. Our immediate priority is supporting those affected and notifying next of kin.

It shouldn't come as a surprise that one of the biggest arseholes in music, a man who has managed to alienate even his own former bandmates, has now chimed in on Metallica frontman James Hetfield's recent comments about wanting fans to attend concerts as a form of escape, rather than being lectured on what to think.
Roger Waters appeared on The Katie Halper Show, where he had the following to say about James, rather predictably:
“He’s just showing that he’s a complete prick.”
“He’s got an IQ of about three, and why we’re talking about him, I don’t even know, because he’s a nobody. He may have a few hundred million dollars or whatever, but he’s a prick.”
Ironically, it's Waters himself who comes across as incredibly childish and petulant. The sheer arrogance of calling James Hetfield, one of the most influential figures in the history of heavy metal, a "nobody" is quite something.
And let's not forget, it wasn't that long ago that Waters was badmouthing Ozzy Osbourne shortly after his death.
This is also a man who has defended Hamas as a resistance movement, repeatedly defended Russia and China, and portrays the United States as one of the greatest sources of evil in the world.
All while choosing to live in... you guessed it... the United States.
