'I can get excitement watching rain on a puddle. And then I paint it. Now, I admit, there are not too many people who would find that exciting. But I would. And I want life thrilling and rich. And it is. I make sure it is.'
David Hockney
These thugs fractured the spine of Sgt Kate Evans, who spoke in court of the medical and emotional trauma she still lives with.
Prison is where they belong.
Unlike Zack Polanski, I want serious consequences for anyone who attacks police officers risking their lives to protect us.
Those idiots deserve what they got, but my greater contempt is reserved for the propaganda agents like Polanski, Owen Jones, Mehdi Hassan and all the others who pushed the Gaza genocide hoax for clicks and conned these people into throwing their futures away.
âLawrence Durrell published in one of his novels a poem by Cavafy, and Iâd found Cavafy in the Bradford Library. It wasnât on the shelf, because they didnât want people reading these poems⊠so I got it out. And actually, I never took it back.â

Name a book you'd love to read, if chronology didn't make that impossible. I'll start:
Plato, Mis-anthropikos (a dialogue exposing the artificial intelligence of AI)
Alexander, Napoleon: Born to Fail
Tacitus, The Court of Stalin
Sophocles, The Dramaturgy of Shakespeare
âNobody keeps me informed,â said Eeyore. I make it 17 days come Friday since anybody spoke to me.â
âI was here myself a week ago,â said Rabbit.
âNot conversing. You said âHalloâ and Flashed Past. I saw your tail as I was mediating my reply.â ~A.A.Milne
Russia has sent their Kremlin state TV host Chay Bowes from RT to Ireland to defend their refinery. It shows they are genuinely worried about it getting sanctioned.
On the plus side all the signs are in russian so it was easy for them to find the place to make their propaganda
âI think Iâm greedy, but Iâm not greedy for money â I think that can be a burdenâŠI can find excitement, I admit, in raindrops falling on a puddle and a lot of people wouldnât. I intend to have it exciting until the day I fall over.â
RIP David Hockney
Sorry to hear of the death of the artist David Hockney. His self-portrait, aged 17 in 1954, hangs in the David Hockney Gallery at Cartwright Hall, Bradford, one of Yorkshire's less-well known galleries, but a gem.
Irish parliament have now started demanding samples from Aughinish are forensically analysed against missile fragments. This is a huge step closer to linking the russian refinery to the Kremlins military complex.
Shocked to hear David Hockney has died. His huge achievement was to make serious painting look effortless. He carried forward one of the most sustained investigations into vision, space and representation by any post-war artist. British art has lost a giant.
Even if you are a dog person you canât fail to see how charming this one is
