#UK: The head of Signal has threatened to pull the company out of the UK entirely rather than weaken its encryption protocols to satisfy government regulators. This would be a serious blow to privacy. The government must protect end-to-end encryption:

In March, @kennardmatt interviewed Shabana Khalid, the mother of Umer Khalid, imprisoned for anti-genocide direct action in the UK. @pablonav1 of Alborada Films co-produced this video report of the interview for @PDeepDive.

War crime after war crime.
The US is striking infrastructure people rely on to survive, water. Thousands of Iranian civilians are dead, while us and American civilians remain untouched. Those of us in the West are insulated from the reality of this “war”, yet we spend our time on race riots to turn away the people fleeing it.
The UK enables this. It relies on bases across the UK and beyond. RAF Mildenhall, for example, has been sending refuelling aircraft toward Tel Aviv—even as recently as yesterday—alongside US military planes in bases through Germany (particularly Ramstein), Italy and Gulf states.
The uncomfortable truth is that we are a part of this.
‘What has happened here, officers?’ asked 22-year-old Suresh Grover after he saw a pool of blood the next day.
‘Go away, it’s just Indian blood,’ was the abrupt response he had received.
Grover took some paint and wrote on the pavement: ‘THIS RACIST MURDER WILL BE AVENGED.’
Umer Khalid will be imprisoned without trial for 18 months after being accused of direct action over Britain’s role in the genocide of Palestinians. Denied medical bail because prison could “manage” his condition.
He is now in hospital because it couldn’t. He may never walk again after being left crawling and locked-up 23 hours a day without proper access to a wheelchair.
This is cruelty — all to protect Israeli interests. Medical bail for Umer now.
The Israelization of our societies is already happening: posturing democracies where human rights can be suspended for people that those in power consider a disturbance.
Wake up Brits. Italians. Germans. French. North Americans. Dutch.
"We want to see it shut down"
Action takers from People Against Genocide are blocking both gates to an Israeli drone factory in Staffordshire, forcing it shut.
Two are locked on to each other through a vehicle, in order to reinforce the blockade.
Yvette Cooper justified the ban on Palestine Action by saying the group engages in violence, but two juries have now cleared activists of any violent intent.
Those activists could nonetheless be sentenced as terrorists despite the ban on Palestine Action being ruled unlawful by the High Court.
The UK government's politico-judicial campaign against Palestine Action is in disarray but the effort to weaponise terrorism laws against activists continues.
My latest in @declassifiedUK:

BREAKING: Police move in to arrest action takers from People Against Genocide, who were blockading an Israeli military drone factory in Staffordshire.
The factory, UAV Engines, is owned by Israeli weapons firm Elbit Systems, manufacturers of 85% of Israel's killer drone fleet.
The UK has barred Hasan Piker and Cenk Uygur from entering the country, with both saying it's in response to their criticism of Israel.
Yet Brits who have fought for the IDF can return home without any investigation.
Our campaign seeks to change that:

In July 2025, Israeli Air Force Chief Maj Gen Tomer Bar landed at RAF Brize Norton to attend RIAT at nearby RAF Fairford.
Meanwhile, the Home Office has refused entry to political commentators holding Israel to account, equating criticism of Israel to antisemitism.
Moreover, 6 activists will spend 18 months in British prisons without trial after alleged direct action at RAF Brize Norton. The protest that highlights this hypocrisy, and Home Office used it as a reference point to proscribe Palestine Action.
The Home Office will do everything to protect Israeli interests. This is proven to us daily at this rate.
In July 2025, Labour govt gave ‘special mission’ immunity to head of Israeli Air Force force—and key architect of Gaza genocide—so he could visit UK
Same govt just banned journos Hasan Piker and Cenk Uygur from UK for criticising same genocide
Labour is a genocidal institution
We stand in full solidarity with the Filton 24. Direct action works and the incarceration of those who opposed genocide is an attempt to silence the people who seek to stop it. The UK state is controlled so completely by the Israeli lobby that our justice system has failed.
They fear our movement. We will win, and Palestine will be liberated.
No verdict can erase the dent the Filton 6 made in the machinery of genocide — disrupting the supply chain by destroying Israeli quadcopters.
No verdict can erase the love behind their actions.
Israeli Quadcopter drones were used in Gaza to emit the sound of a baby crying.
When people rushed to help what they thought was a baby suffering, they were shot.
This is what the Filton 24 did to one of those Quadcopter drones.
“Everyone knows that the sheer desperation of ‘Palestine Action’ activists vandalising military equipment isn’t terrorism. No one actually believes that.” — Robert Del Naja, Massive Attack
Five activists are imprisoned without trial for alleged connection to spray-painting two warplanes at RAF Brize Norton. This is what political repression looks like.
Novara picks up the story
Any of the hundreds of journalists in Britain's mainstream media interested at all?
BBC? Guardian? Telegraph?
Seems important...
This should be evidence in a war crimes trial
A British spy plane circles Khan Younis—the major area of fighting in Gaza at time—for 2 hours on 28 July 2025
We learnt later that intel gathered was being sent to the Israeli military in real-time
Starmer needs to be indicted
Five activists remain locked in prisons without trial for allegedly protesting the British RAF bases involvement in war crimes.
Every day of this illegal war shows a state that protects spray‑painted warplanes more fiercely than it protects a single life taken in a crime against humanity.
🚨Video of British MQ-9 Reaper drone flying over east Lebanon yesterday as Israeli strikes hit the area
The Reaper drone is weaponised and can drop Paveway II 500-pound bombs
