Turkish Cypriot journalist Şener Levent: “The Turkish army went into Syria and the Kurdish enclave of #Afrin to commit a massacre and occupy the country, just as they did here.” #Cyprus https://t.co/Q8tDKFgXfP
Michael Rubin @mrubin1971 tells the US Congress “The question of #Cyprus goes to the heart of both human rights and international law…It’s time to make ending Turkey’s illegal occupation of Cyprus and…Syria and Iraq core components of US foreign policy”.

@kajakallas@RTErdogan No more negotiating with terrorists. The EU should be imposing sanctions on Turkey for its illegal occupation of European territory, not kowtowing to it.
Just watched an episode of Stuff the British Stole on the ABC in which the patron saint of England, St George, was repeatedly referred to as Turkish. Come on @MarcFennell. St George, a Greek Christian, lived in the 3rd century. The Turks invaded Anatolia in the 11th century.
Today, from Damascus, in Greek.
After 1,500 years since the Arab conquest, we still pray in our language, in the heart of our Patriarchate.
Today is especially important for the Church of Antioch, because Saints Peter and Paul are the founders of the Antiochian Church. On their feast day, listen to the Greek hymn rising from Damascus, chanted in the presence of His Beatitude John X, Patriarch of Antioch, and also in Arabic.
This is not only a hymn. It is memory, continuity, and survival.
Erdogan has aligned itself with Iran and Russia, harbors Hamas & is the only NATO member to not sanction Russia. He also has directed illegal military jet overflights above the Greek Islands, is illegally occupying a part of Cyprus, has called for the destruction of Israel and has undermined American counter-ISIS operations. #NoJetsForTurkey
I will bring before the Israeli government at its next meeting a proposed resolution for the official recognition by the Government of Israel of the Armenian Genocide.
Recognizing the genocide perpetrated against the Armenian people in the final years of the Ottoman Empire is both a moral and historical duty.
We must also firmly condemn any denial, minimization, or distortion of the historical truth.
The resolution will subsequently be brought before the Knesset for a vote.
@DrewPavlou#Socceroos qualify for the knockout stages of the #FIFAWorldCup and even better Turkey is out of the tournament 😂 Hope you have a great trip Drew.
APPLE MAPS GETS CYPRUS RIGHT🚨
Apple has done what so many other map providers fail to do, respecting the truth about Cyprus.
All towns and villages in the illegally occupied areas of Cyprus are correctly displayed with their original Greek names, as they have been for centuries and not the illegal names imposed by the Turkish occupying regime after the 1974 brutal invasion.
This is the accurate, honest and respectful approach that other map providers especially Google should follow.
History matters and so does the truth.
Thank you @Apple, for standing on the side of facts and international legitimacy.
3 ANGLES of absolute Fed Square pandemonium! 🤯🎬
You’ve seen the goal, now look what it did to the heart of Melbourne!

“If Europe were serious, there should not be a single visa issued to a Turk, a Turkish Airlines flight overflying, let alone landing in Europe, and sanctions on every member of the Turkish armed forces.” #Cyprus
We are deeply concerned by reports that the occupation regime has cancelled the May pilgrimage of Armenian Cypriots to the Sourp Magar monastery
Permission had been granted only days earlier
There must be respect and protection for the religious traditions of all Cypriots 🇨🇾
@yaseminoze65519@LeonardoPanetta Yeah because Turks are so tolerant of other cultures and religions right? Like you were so tolerant of your Christian citizens? Turkey murdered millions of them in cold blood and still refuses to admit its crimes. But the world remembers #ArmenianGenocide.
@lukejamessss95 Did you ever complain about Turkey participating in #Eurovision? Turkey has illegally occupied European territory for 52 years and committed a myriad of war crimes in #Cyprus.
@megynkelly Interesting timing. Just days after BF’s former client Rebel Wilson was cross examined in defamation proceedings about allegedly orchestrating a smear campaign against a producer on the film ‘the Deb’ including engaging TAG to create malicious websites. https://t.co/wn0QaF2pqy
Great video by @theashsilver discussing the defamation proceedings currently under way in the Federal Court of Australia between Charlotte McInnes, the star of the movie ‘The Deb’ and Rebel Wilson, the movie’s director #rebelwilson https://t.co/OfURY1HrsN
