The Free Enterprise Project (FEP) is the conservative movement’s most effective full-service shareholder activism & education program. Part of @NationalCenter.
“We live in the world the left created—one in which corporations were turned into instruments of political and cultural power," writes Curtis Hill at RealClearMarkets.
"Until those instruments are fully restored to their rightful owners and purpose, the tools of accountability must remain available to those who still believe corporations exist to serve shareholders, not ideological agendas."
The SEC shouldn’t be giving corporations a free pass to pursue ideological agendas with shareholders’ money. Read more: https://t.co/alBPx2cnoU

"Steve Milloy, who runs the Free Enterprise Project at the National Center for Public Policy Research, put it bluntly: “The Trump administration has improved upon the famous adage that capitalists will sell communists the rope by which the latter would hang the former. Now the capitalists seem to be just giving the rope away.”

"The @NationalCenter for Public Policy Research — a regular proponent of anti-ESG shareholder proposals — called the changes to shareholder proposal rules “short-sighted.”
“The allegedly ‘free market’ commissioners at the SEC have proposed to lock in left-wing shareholder activist gains and leave pro-free enterprise shareholder activists to the tender mercies of corporate management-loving state laws,” Steve Milloy, director of NCPPR’s @FreeEntProject said in a statement Thursday."

We're demanding answers from major banks and utilities about #China-made equipment potentially being purchased, financed or used in America’s energy infrastructure.
This isn’t just about business. It’s about national security—and whether equipment made by our greatest adversary has a place in the infrastructure Americans depend on every day.
The federal government is taking action. Now corporate America needs to answer: What China-made equipment is in your supply chain—and what are you doing about it?

The Securities and Exchange Commission is stepping back from the shareholder proposal process, and Free Enterprise Project Executive Director Steve Milloy warns that the change could stifle efforts on the right to bring corporations back to neutral.
Steve told the Financial Times that the decision effectively “locks in the left’s gains” after years of progressive groups using shareholder proposals to advance social and political agendas.

Kudos to President Trump for his Executive order banning Communist China-made equipment from our power grid. Now we'll see if it is actually implemented by our always lame government agencies and corrupt utilities. https://t.co/SVdwdcIafC

"The supposedly free-market-oriented commissioners at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission just announced an extension of last year’s policy giving corporate managements a Get-Out-Of-Jail-Free card on shareholder proposals," writes Free Enterprise Project Executive Director Steve Milloy at RealClearMarkets.
"The left-wing activist shareholders are perfectly okay with this. They have already captured control of corporate managements and large institutional investors. Imagine the shareholder battle as a game of musical chairs. The Trump SEC has suddenly stopped the music. Free-market and conservative shareholder activists have no place to sit. They are out of the game."

“America needs a federal law that prohibits the intentional killing of viable unborn children — plainly stated, a federal prohibition on child homicide,” writes Curtis Hill at Daily Caller.
"Massachusetts now joins a small group of states and the District of Columbia that have abandoned objective protections for the unborn after viability. These jurisdictions now allow a distinct, living human being — capable of surviving outside the womb — to be deliberately destroyed under the elastic label of 'professional judgment.'
"…When the state removes statutory guardrails and substitutes an unreviewable standard that permits ending a viable child’s life, it has moved beyond the privacy-versus-life debate. It is, in substance, the state-sanctioned killing of a viable unborn child — what should rightly be understood as child homicide."

The Trump @SECGov is working to lock in left-wing activist investor gains by attempting to end the shareholder activist game now:
1. After decades of shareholder activism, left-wing/ESG investors have gained control of many, if not most, large US corporations.
2. Corporate managements may not talk much now in the Trump era about ESG issues like climate and DEI, but they have not renounced them either and can't wait to roll them out again when Trump is gone.
3. By denying free market/free enterprise supporters the right to challenge and pressure captured corporate managements through shareholder activism, left-wing control is being locked in for the foreseeable future, if not for good.
4. Keep in mind the left wants to control big corporations so they can use their resources and influence to advance the left-wing political agenda.
5. In a perfect world, there would be no shareholder activism outside of that natural and necessary to keep companies profitable. But we don't live in that world. We live in the world where the left has hijacked corporations for political purposes and there is an ongoing struggle to return management focus to business and not politics. Trump's SEC commissioners have yet to grasp that.
