Hate Oatly for what they did to Glebe Farm, but this is the correct decision. If it deters brands from using 'milk free' as an allergy-safe claim, it might however impact those with milk allergy. https://t.co/jQnF4r4Wnu

Lots of coverage (BBC, Express, Standard, Indy ...), but all seem to miss this pt. I'm guessing there's an exemption in France (?), which is why it was not highlighted by researchers. Perhaps worth reassuring milk allergy members, @AllergyUK1@AnaphylaxisUK@NatashasLegacy? 3/3
Interrupting a sabbatical for this #foodallergy news ...
French researchers have suggested some allergens ought to be added to the current 'top 14' emphasis able foods, including peas, lentils and ... sheep/goat milk. 1/3

But in the UK sheep/goat milk are already included under the 'milk' category which incorporates all mammalian milks. Here's @foodgov, see pt. 40. #milkallergy 2/3

Ursula published the recently vindicated Kathleen Stock, then suffered for it. My publisher was hers, and I’ve supported her case. Fellow writers, especially: please read/consider doing same. Publishing, like academia, is in a wretched state on free speech and freedom of belief.
I resigned from my job in book publishing and am taking my former employer to a tribunal - here's why. There is a link to my crowdfunder in the next post; I'm very grateful for all shares and donations. https://t.co/RcKWKUB8uY

@AliWalshGF@carlytalbot Of course, it should have been over-stickered. Was it in an independent store specialising in overseas foods? I don't think I've ever visited one where I didn't find non-compliant labelling, sadly.
Big thanks to @BBCMorningLive for correcting the mistake before the end of the show. It often takes ages for corrections to happen & whilst its never ideal for incorrect info to be stated - correct info being provided within the same show is amazing.
