در پی برگزاری مراسم یادبود جاویدنام #رامین_رئیسی در باغ رضوان اصفهان، #علیرضا_رئیسی در تاریخ ۱۴۰۴/۱۰/۳۰ توسط نیروهای اطلاعات با دو خودروی پژو پارس بازداشت شد. مأموران پس از بازداشت، منزل او را به‌طور کامل تفتیش کرده و به خانواده اعلام کردند «دنبال او نگردند».
تا ۱۵ روز هیچ مرجع رسمی مسئولیت بازداشت را نپذیرفت و خانواده با مراجعه روزانه به زندان دستگرد و آگاهی پاسخی دریافت نکردند. نهایتاً وکیلی معرفی‌شده از سوی زندان تأیید کرد که علیرضا رئیسی در زندان دستگرد نگهداری می‌شود.
در ملاقات اخیر، آثار ضرب‌وشتم، کبودی شدید، خون‌ریزی در چشم و نشانه‌های شوک الکتریکی بر بدن او مشاهده شده است. با گذشت هفته‌ها، اتهام و حکم قضایی او همچنان نامشخص است.
