For posterity, I'm just going to say right now that I know a ton about what really happened with this general and with the 2020 coup plot, thanks to months of extensive interviews with the people involved and access to as yet unseen communications and Brady material. This information goes far beyond what @JordanGGoudreau put out in his lawsuit against JJ Rendon, and I did not glean any insights from the upcoming documentary, "Men of War," which I have not seen and which comes out tomorrow.

I can say with absolute confidence that the arrest of this general set off a behind-the-scenes fiasco for @JordanGGoudreau, who needed this general for his May 2020 coup plot against Maduro. Upon learning of the general's arrest, Goudreau immediately reached out to a contact in the White House to clear this general's name. Rather than reject Goudreau outright, this White House employee offered to lend his assistance.
