Freedom Forward

Climate. Democracy. Freedom.

[Rep. Ilhan Omar @Ilhan]

Today marks the 3rd year of the Sudan civil war and genocide.

Tens of thousands have been killed. Hundreds of thousands have starved. Millions have been displaced.

The UAE and arms dealers to the RSF and RSF-aligned militias must be held accountable.

[Freedom Forward @FreedomForward]

@lawler4ny @AOC We aren't surprised by this:

[Ro Khanna @RoKhanna]

Chuck Schumer was one of 7 Senate Democrats to vote to send bulldozers to Israel. 40 Democratic Senators voted no.

Mr. Schumer, you are out of touch with our base and the nation.

Step aside.

[Akbar Shahid Ahmed @AkbarSAhmed]

Staunchly pro-Israel Democrats repeatedly argued colleagues should not hold votes on military aid for Tel Aviv, arguing that would “split the caucus.”

Now those supporting unconditional weaponry (notably Schumer) are the clear minority — a new unified position is arguably found.

[Chris Murphy 🟧 @ChrisMurphyCT]

This is part of a larger trend of governments - including the Trump administration - trying to censor journalists reporting on the realities of this war.

Ahmed Shihab-Eldin must be released immediately.

[Freedom Forward @FreedomForward]

@jstreetdotorg Why should "we treat Israel like any other ally"?

Israel is committing ethnic cleansing, apartheid, and genocide. Its leaders face active ICC arrest warrants.

Israel should not be an ally of the United States, full stop.

[Freedom Forward @FreedomForward]

@neeratanden @mcbyrne Check out the #NoKings protests, @neeratanden.

Lots of people have been gathering across the country and the rallies have included many Palestine solidarity activists protesting Trump's continuation of the Gaza genocide.

@amprog should get involved!

[Neera Tanden🌻 @neeratanden]

@mcbyrne Can you show me when and where? I've been looking.

[Hamid Bendaas 🇩🇿🇵🇸 @HBendaas]

@neeratanden Neera do you think it was the right move for CAP’s board to oust its first Black president and insert you because he voiced criticisms of the Israeli government that 80% of Democrats agree with?

@TheRightCompass @snackvampire @RepYassAnsari You are a total antisemite. BLOCKED.

[Freedom Forward @FreedomForward]

Iranian American U.S. Congresswoman @RepYassAnsari opposed Trump's #Iran war but supported arming #Israel, the very government that lobbied Trump to attack Iran.

[Freedom Forward @FreedomForward]

@TheRightCompass @snackvampire @RepYassAnsari This is anti-semitic.

If she is Jewish, then she is Jewish AND of Iranian background.

[Freedom Forward @FreedomForward]

Rep. @yassaminansari slammed Trump for threatening genocide against the Iranian people, but supported #Israel during its ongoing genocide in #Gaza.

She supported arming Israel, opposed the International Criminal Court, and she benefited from pro-Israel campaign money.

[Stephen Semler @stephensemler]

The US spent $28.7 billion during the first two weeks of the Iran War — $2.1 billion per day.

This may be a higher estimate than you've seen elsewhere. Those estimates are too low. This one could be too.

See my methodology and full analysis linked below.

[Zachary Foster @_ZachFoster]

Israeli authorities confess they are singling out the Shi'ite Lebanese population for destruction.

This is textbook ethnic cleansing, described as "Israel's message" by the @nytimes.

[Hend Amry @LibyaLiberty]

Jewish troops will be looking for Muslims hidden in the attics of Christians. Let that sink in.

[Ryan Grim @ryangrim]

Israel is explicitly warning Christian and Druze residents in southern Lebanon not to hide Muslim residents among them as their forces advance.

Not a peep from Sheryl Sandberg.

[Freedom Forward @FreedomForward]

Take a look: @AIPAC and @amprog's @neeratanden are both sharing the same content.

[Freedom Forward @FreedomForward]

Why is @neeratanden, head of @TheDemocrats Center for @AmProg, sharing pro-AIPAC content?

@TrackAIPAC plays a valuable role in highlighting which Members of Congress take pro-Israel AIPAC money.

(BTW, look what Tanden WON'T post.)

[The Bulwark @BulwarkOnline]

You've probably seen these TrackAIPAC graphics that show which members of Congress are on the take from pro-Israel organizations and lobbyists.

@JoePerticone breaks down their methodology, why it doesn't make any sense, and why you probably shouldn't pay much attention to them.
