@heartagram83 @AseyevStanislav I don’t know what more the state could do in a situation like this. The case has received an enormous amount of publicity, the perpetrators were quickly arrested and will face justice, and their actions have been widely condemned. What more would you expect?

Poland has spent the last two days strongly condemning these incidents. The whole country is talking about them precisely because we don’t want this to happen again.

@heartagram83 @AseyevStanislav From the perspective of Poles who have been deeply involved in helping Ukraine from the very beginning, it simply feels unfair. Perhaps you don’t fully understand this, but Ukraine often pursues a very hard line, Soviet style approach to politics.

@heartagram83 @AseyevStanislav In Poland, roughly 1 in 30 people is a refugee from Ukraine; in Spain, it’s about 1 in 140. Of course, Spain and Ukraine don’t have a history of major historical disputes, so there’s much less potential for tensions of that kind.

Unfortunately, some people now feel betrayed, and politicians are exploiting and fueling those feelings. I simply don't like Poles being labeled as fascists. You can call me whatever you want.
