Canada’s gun laws are the strictest in the world until the camera is rolling and nobody wants the file.
Licensed owners get the letters. The buyback. The growing prohibited list from 2020, 2024 and 2025. Ottawa treats the guy with a PAL like the problem. Then clips like this circulate of shotguns on a hood, guns pointed at people sitting in chairs, shooting in the air, posted online like it is a weekend hobby.
Same footage from a different postal code and the RCMP would already be at the door. That is the two-tier part. Not a theory. The system decides who gets the lecture and who gets the shrug.
Police have said for years the crime guns are not coming from licensed hunters. In Toronto they have put the number near 86 percent smuggled. StatsCan has said in solved firearm homicides the shooter usually had no valid licence. So Ottawa keeps squeezing the people who already passed the course, while careless use on camera becomes content.
When one of those stunts goes wrong, guess who pays. The legal owner who stored it right and never posted a video. That is not public safety. That is a government picking easy targets and calling it a plan.
Law is supposed to be the same for every person holding a firearm. If it is not, stop pretending the ban list was ever about safety.

I am appalled by the targeting of two Kiva’s Bagel Bar locations — fixtures of Toronto’s Jewish community that have long served as places for people to gather and connect.
Jewish Canadians should be able to live, work, and worship free from fear, intimidation, and hate. Canada’s government is absolute in our commitment to combatting the scourge of antisemitism.
Law enforcement has my full support as they conduct a thorough investigation and hold those responsible to account.
@keithbaldrey Christie Clark together with Gregor Robertson turned a blind eye to approximately $1 trillion of money laundering through casinos and such. Medium house prices went from approximately $800k to $1.8 Promoting real estate with developers real estate offices in China in Hong Kong❗️
@fredbeltran604@VancouverPD The culprits will be back on the streets after arrests anyway … futile work for our loyal officers. Ask MC when he will act to reform or justice system.
Brian Kingston is President and Chief Executive Officer of the Canadian Vehicle Manufacturers Association.
Here he lays out quite clearly, “without the U.S. there is no Canadian automotive market”
Diversification is not an option.
He is calling for the Government to stop the Chinese EV agreement as even though 49000 cars seems low, that accounts for 30% of the amount of EV’s sold in Canada each year.
Our Government needs to get their act together, hundreds of thousands of Canadians livelihoods are on the line.
5 minutes worth watching.
The guy who was shot and killed after pulling a gun on cops at Pearson on Thursday was Daniel Dolan of Toronto.
The 30 year-old had a violent past and was under 3 gun ban orders.
Still had a gun.
But the Liberals will protect you by going after hunters.
