The police dispersed a presentation of comics by artist Sasha Skochilenko, who has been in pre-trial detention for almost a year on the case of "fakes" about the Russian army. Half an hour after it started, police officers in masks arrived and demanded the audience leave the room. The police put two attendees face down on the floor.
Skochilenko was arrested in April 2022 on a case of "war fakes" - the artist replaced price tags with anti-war leaflets in a grocery store. A 72-year-old customer in the store snitched on the girl to the police. Skochilenko faces up to 10 years in prison.
Yesterday, the presentation of Sasha's comic books on mental health was disrupted by the police. Sasha's best friend Lesha and at least two of the visitors were beaten by the police, and the police also used threats and harassment. Everyone was let go after questioning.
