So, after joining ‘Masonic Twitter’ over 6 years ago while running the @lodge4043 account I’ve decided that it’s time to come out!
I also look after the @YoungMasonsClub feed and I’m proud to say I’m President Elect for the Club! 🙏🏼

🔵🔗🔴 This #ChapterTuesday, we take a brief look at some of the banners specifically on display during Royal Arch meetings, also known as ‘Chapter’
➡️ In a Chapter meeting room, four banners are always displayed in the East. These represent four leading tribes of the ancient world: Judah, represented by a Lion; Ephraim represented by an Ox; Reuben, represented by a Man; and Dan represented by an Eagle
➡️ They were incorporated into the Arms of the Atholl or Antients' Grand Lodge which first appeared in 1764, highlighting the very close connection between the Antients' Grand Lodge and the Royal Arch. As to the ordering of the banners, there is no designated order as ancient texts quote several alternatives, and it seems to be a matter of custom and practice depending upon which traditions are held by the Chapter
