“Boomer,s” “WW II generation,” “Silent generation” — that’s all nonsense. Age cohorts do not propel fundamental changes. You might as well cite the astrological signs of important cultural figures.

Mass immigration and black civil rights were promoted because of the economic and geopolitical imperatives of the American ruling elite.

Once the US became the “leader of the Free World” competing for influence and advantage against Communism, nationalist policies like closed borders and segregation were doomed. They contradicted our ostentatious preaching about freedom and “all men are created equal.”

They were bad for business in the non-aligned Third World. They had to go.

The elite demanded the changes and Congress and the Supreme Court complied. The establishment media and elite educational institutions spread the new message. “Nation of Immigrants.” “Color-blind society.”

Age had nothing to do with it.

Same with “small government” and low taxation. You can’t run an empire from 50 quasi-independent state capitals, can you? Power centralizes in order to rule, everywhere and always.

Don’t betaken in by explanatory artifices like generations, which are vague and easily debunked. Ambition and money are truer causes for the actions of men.
