@UziCryptoo We traded lower cost electricity generation for higher cost electricity generation and/or intermittent sources of power. Look at a chart of electricity generation in ALL the West since 1995. No such thing as a high end economy that is not a first class power producer. Period.

@GuntherEagleman Simple answer. We keep blowing up refineries around the world. 800+ refineries and dozens have been destroyed over the past 3 months in an already tight market. The only real buyer of crude = yeah those refineries. 0 Refineries = 0.00 price of crude oil.

@Lonesnipes I completely get this for 2026. But in 2028 at least in the primaries you should absolutely vote if it's competitive still by the time you get the chance to vote. I voted 6x for Trump and I'm also pissed and will vote D House this year. But 2028 will be a whole different game.

@jeremyct Gotta shop it out every 3 years. Year 1 is always the best deal. Year 2 they raise it slightly. Year 3 they try to stick it to you and the only winning move is to go back to the commodity insurance market and start back at 0. Even then it's rising 5-6% a year.

The only two real options are to go all in in the middle east with everything that comes with that. Full on mobilization to kill the Houthis and Iranians en masse. Or to walk away from the entire thing and let what happens...happen. Everything else is just #2 with steps and spending $ we don't have.
