The Team was out for several hours yesterday afternoon/evening on a trail off of Oak Creek Grade assisting CCFD, AMR and the Sheriff's Dept. in bringing an ill hiker back to safety. Thanks to all the agencies and personnel who made this a successful rescue!
Time to dust off the swiftwater gear, air up the boats and practice our throw-bagging skills! Looks like the Arkansas will be running high with all the snowpack to melt in the high country as the weather warms. Saturday's training was a good prep for the upcoming summer months.
Keep an eye for these folks. Yesterday there were teams from Park County SAR, Summit County SAR, Alpine Rescue Team and Douglas County SAR out looking for them. https://t.co/trG1LbONDA
We have K9 teams are down at the Great Sand Dunes National Park today training with a number of other teams from around the state on area - air scent and human remains searches.
Some of the team (canines included!) were out enjoying the long-running tradition of the annual Blossom Parade on Saturday. The weather couldn't have been better and we appreciated the support from the crowd!
It was a long day in the field for two of our K9's and their Handlers yesterday. But a short good ending day for three of the K9's and Handlers, today. https://t.co/2BmqeyowUL
