@DPJHodges Further factor in play: Burnham's majority is too big to govern effectively. A smaller majority would discipline unruly backbenchers and get rid of many of the 2024 no hopers. Electoral calculus now gives him that. Analysis thus suggests he wd be mad NOT to call early election

I am afraid your statement on 3%/2030 smacks of more strategic illiteracy. You do not decide how much threat you can afford. The threats are the threats as laid out in #SDR2025 which your government commissioned. Defence planners prioritizes & then costs responses
