My new novel MILANESE ARMOR is officially on the way. Set in 15th century Europe, it follows a Scottish knight in the service of an Italian warlord, with pride love and conflict shaping his journey.
Chapter one is done. I've been looking forward to writing this story.
Gradually preparing switching to Linux and open source if need be, you know what I'm talking about. I donated to Blender, LibreOffice, Inkscape and FreeCAD because I love what they're doing. Without their work, it'd be difficult for anyone to get started when you have no budget.
Finished my first hot raised piece of armor, a shoulder plate. Working hot makes all the difference. I'll have to build a designated gas forge for hot working because the parts won't fit. But it saves times, effort and the pieces look much cleaner without being thinned out.
For my current novel, I chose not to try and emulate any style that "sounds" medieval. Actual medieval text is hard to read and understand. Even if I was an expert on the matter, reading experience would be bad for most and I'm not fond of a hybrid solution that sounds fake.
Now that I’ve finally created the visual heart of E.A.G.L.E as I had always imagined it, it felt like the right time to revisit the poster for my screenplay.

After deciding on the names of the characters and narrowing down locations I'm so close to being ready to start writing my new novel set in 15th century Scotland and Italy. This'll be new for me and I'm thrilled.
