@sunlitvices “Well, of course I do. I love them.”
He said it like it was the easiest thing in the world. Perhaps, it was.
“It’s one of those things, you know, where you need each other in a way. I know that probably sounds weird,” he backtracked, rubbing the back of his neck. “Never mind.”
@sunlitvices Jean-Paul suddenly felt shy. Something about the gentleness in Ellis’s voice and his genuine expression made Frenchie go red. He could feel the heat in his face, and his awareness of the fact he was likely blushing only made it worsen.

@sunlitvices He moved his hands around quite a bit while telling the story, visibly excited to be talking about it. The love he had for those two cats practically radiated off of him.
@sunlitvices Frenchie’s smile was full of pride as he pocketed his phone, “Yes! I picked out the name before getting him, and I saw those green eyes and that coat, and I knew I had found my Bijou!”

@sunlitvices “Yes!” he exclaimed, immediately pulling out his phone with excitement.
He pulled up the first photos he found. Was Lieutenant’s particularly flattering? No, but he was still adorable.
“Here,” he said, showing his screen. “Bijou is the Russian Blue. Lieutenant is the ginger.”
@sunlitvices “You don’t need to thank me,” he assured, shaking his head. “I’m just doing my job.”
Once Brooklyn finished up, he grabbed the bowl out of her way.
“I love dogs,” he admitted truthfully. “I only have cats myself.”
@ZER0Gs_ “I take great offense to that! Bread can be used for /so much/. You, Vanessa,” he pointed at her accusingly, exercising an over-dramatic tone, “have no imagination.”
@ZER0Gs_ “Well, ‘Qu'ils mangent de la brioche’ is the original version of the famous ‘let them eat cake.’”
Frenchie paused, taking another bite of the apple slice.
“Brioche is actually a type of bread— similar to cake. I /love/ making French toast with it.”
@ZER0Gs_ “Oh, yes, there are definitely trends. I can tell whenever I visit several local bakeries, and they all look the same,” he told her with a chuckle.
“History of cake…” Frenchie mused, thinking. “I would assume it started with, like, a sweet bread.”
@sunlitvices “Of course I do! Usually, I just fill it with water for pups on hot days,” Frenchie told the man, placing the bowl on the floor by the dog. He couldn’t help but laugh at how eager she was.
“Well, I’m glad she does. She deserves only but the best.”
@ZER0Gs_ “Raspberries are actually added to red velvet quite often lately. At least from what I’ve seen. Mostly in the filling,” he told them, before promptly licking his fork clean.
