House Speaker @PenaMelnykforMD, Senate President @SenBillFerg & @GovWesMoore are calling lawmakers to Annapolis to gut the rules on compact districts and natural boundaries — all so they can draw even more extreme Democrat maps and finally silence the last Republican in Congress.

Who the hell changes the constitution during an election year?

This is textbook post-constitutional behavior. The rules only exist until they get in the way of Democrat power. Then suddenly the constitution is just another obstacle to be bulldozed.

Pure power grab. Maryland voters in November need to reject this garbage amendment and send a message that you don’t get to rewrite the founding document of the state to protect your one-party rule.
