As #WomensHistoryMonth comes to an end we want to say thank you to our amazing partners @FreshStartRAC, an Afghan-American Women-led non-profit aiding in the resettlement of refugees nationally. #RefugeesWelcome

Our allies & at-risk Afghans face persecution in Afghanistan + legal uncertainty in the U.S.
Join us in calling on Congress to #Advocate4Afghans. They must:
➡️ Pass the #AfghanAdjustmentAct NOW
➡️ Tell the Biden admin to #EvacuateOurAllies still stranded in Afghanistan
We commend the Biden admin for its designation today of #AfghanTPS, something we have consistently pushed for since August 2021. @POTUS must now use his bully pulpit to highlight the urgent need for Congress to act on permanent protection via passage of the #AfghanAdjustmentAct.
Tomorrow we’re partnering with @BurkleCenter at UCLA to host a comprehensive exploration of the Biden Executive Order on Afghan Central Bank Assets. Experts in law and policy will discuss the EO, its implications, and potential paths forward.

Our joint statement on today’s decision on #AfghanTPS. We are grateful for the work of the TPS-DED Admin Advocacy Coalition, particularly @cliniclegal for its unwavering partnership in pursuing this outcome.
We stand with all communities who are pursuing this basic protection.
Thank you to the @POTUS Admin. and @DHSgov for granting Temporary Protective Status (TPS) for Afghan arrivals in the United States for 18 months. Next, we need to make sure they are afforded permanent safety by passing the #Afghan Adjustment Act (AAA).
Today, the Biden Admin has allowed Afghans in the US to apply for Temporary Protected Status (TPS)
Although WAW welcomes this first step, we must continue to work towards a permanent pathway for Afghans in the US and outside of the US, including passing the Afghan Adjustment Act.
It breaks my heart. Our focus with @FreshStartRAC right now is to find all these refugees jobs. They’re on their own now to learn how to drive, find transportation, find work and learn how to live in a country they moved to few months ago. Some are so overqualified!
Legal services will be a lasting critical need for newly arrived Afghans. We’re proud to be a lead partner — with @humanrights1st@gibsondunn@WeTheAction@welcomeus — in this national mobilization launching 3/4/22.

Temporary safety is not enough.
It's time to finish what we started. To #WelcomeHome our Afghan neighbors, we must ensure they can rebuild their lives in safety & with dignity.
Tell Congress to pass the #AfghanAdjustmentAct NOW. #Advocate4Afghans:

As we celebrate #PresidentsDay, let’s continue to call on @POTUS to safeguard the lives of immigrants and asylum-seekers and welcome those seeking safety with care and humanity. #WelcomeWithDignity, Mr. President!
Americans across the country have opened their hearts to arriving Afghans. They’ve stepped up with urgency, purpose and courage to ensure that these new neighbors and friends feel welcome and secure.
It’s time for Congress to do the same and pass the #AfghanAdjustmentAct.
We spoke to @thehill about the importance of ensuring that at-risk Afghans are provided safe exit and passage from Afghanistan. Their plights must not be forgotten https://t.co/zVi9MqTV8s
