@Adam_FaithfulM But Jesus says the Father is greater than he is. So what did he mean by that? John 14:28 “You heard me say to you, ‘I am going away, and I will come to you.’ If you loved me, you would have rejoiced, because I am going to the Father, for the Father is greater than I."
@Thevine_ntwk Absolutely not! I often think about why I know I will never deny Christ and find that easy but yet living in obedience, wrestling with my sin and fleeing from lust is a struggle. I've come a long way and I know Christ is working in me. I can't wait to be with him in his glory!
@5solas 1 Peter 3:18-20 having been put to death in the flesh, but made alive in the spirit; in which also He went and made proclamation to the spirits now in prison, who once were disobedient, when the patience of God kept waiting in the days of Noah, during the construction of the ark.
@Thevine_ntwk The Creator of the universe knows you, loves you and wants you to know him. You are special. You were fearfully made in the image of God. No matter what you've done or what you're going through Christ died for you so that you may know God.
@username87331@littlebroiswat1@trad_west_ Again I'm not defending denominations I'm defending the word of God. Jesus said this is my body and my blood. People walked away because it was tough teaching. The symbolic view doesn't make sense that would be an easy teaching.
@MikeFromHC@DeChristianguy 2 Peter 3 Above all, you must understand that in the last days scoffers will come, scoffing and following their own evil desires. They will say, ‘Where is this “coming” he promised? Ever since our ancestors died, everything goes on as it has since the beginning of creation.
@MikeFromHC@DeChristianguy We will be going through the cities of Israel until the Son of Man comes. It's not a reading comprehension problem it's a spirit problem. “The fool says in his heart, ‘There is no God.’ They are corrupt, their deeds are vile; there is no one who does good.” Repent and believe!
@MikeFromHC@DeChristianguy Context Matt 10:23 we are still preaching in Israel today. Matt 16:28 literally the next 2 verses Jesus transfigures himself and shows them the Son of Man. Matt 23:36 Read what he said before all of that happened in their time. You are blind, repent and see the glory of God!
@username87331@littlebroiswat1@trad_west_ One is asking someone next to me the other is praying to someone. If Jesus and his apostles didn't do it I'm not going to do it. I want to be most like Christ not a 300ad Catholic Church father.
@username87331@littlebroiswat1@trad_west_ I attend a Calvary Chapel Church but I can't find any church that truly upholds all the teaching of the word of God sadly. There are some I agree with more than others. I attend this church because I feel the love of Christ while I'm there.
@username87331@littlebroiswat1@trad_west_ Of course I pray with, for and ask my fellow believers to pray for me. I do this as the apostles teach. Like in Ephesians 6:18-20. I pray to God for people. I don't pray to people for God because the Bible doesn't teach that.
@username87331@littlebroiswat1@trad_west_ If you mean the cloud of witnesses in Hebrews 12:1 it never says to pray to them. Hebrews 7:25 says Jesus intercedes for us. I believe Jesus to be God and the Bible repeatedly says to pray in his name. If that's what you mean by intercession then hallelujah, I agree.
