You stand as a shield between innocent citizens and those who seek to destroy the peace, safety, and dignity of our communities.

In the forests, on the roads, at forward operating bases, in the air, creeks, and across difficult terrains, you carry the burden of national protection so that millions of Nigerians can sleep, work, worship, farm, trade, and raise their children in hope.

This fight has not been easy. It has come with pain, pressure, and sacrifice. But your courage has remained firm. Your service is acknowledged. Your sacrifice is honoured. Your country does not take you for granted.

To every officer and soldier of our Armed Forces, to the Police, DSS, Civil Defence, intelligence services, local security formations, and all who work day and night to keep Nigeria safe, I say thank you.

I also acknowledge the families behind the uniform. Many of you have endured long absences, anxious nights, and the emotional cost of duty. Nigeria remembers that sacrifice, too.

The fight against terror is not only a military operation. It is a national duty. Citizens must support our security forces by providing timely, useful information. When you see something, say something. When you know something, report it.

Nigeria will not surrender to fear. We will not allow terrorists, bandits, kidnappers, or violent extremists to define who we are as a people. Their violence is not our identity. Their hatred does not represent Nigerians of any faith, creed, or community.

I will not stand before you and declare the work finished, because it is not. The housing deficit this nation carries is counted in the millions, and it will take years of steady labour to close, and I would rather say that to you plainly than flatter you with a lie.

But the difference now is real. For the first time in a generation, the whole housing value-chain is moving together: the land and its title, the building, the materials, the equipment, the finance, and the family at the end of it, and no part waits idle on another.

Housing has moved from a welfare conversation to a national growth strategy. Real estate and construction now sit among Nigeria’s major GDP contributors, proving that every affordable home financed is also a factory order, a labour contract, a mortgage asset, a household balance sheet and a contribution to national output.

That is what I promised for our housing sector, and that is what is now being delivered. Renewed Hope was never charity. It is the right of every Nigerian to a place called home.

TROOPS ARREST SUSPECTED TERRORISTS, INFORMANT, DRUG PEDDLERS; RESCUE KIDNAPPED VICTIMS, RECOVER EXPLOSIVES IN SUSTAINED OPERATIONS

Troops of the Joint Task Force (North East), Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK), have continued to record significant operational successes across the theatre, including the arrest of suspected terrorists and their collaborators, rescue of kidnapped civilians, and recovery of explosive devices during coordinated operations.

In a notable development, troops of OPHK deployed at Ngamdu, while conducting some operational engagements in Ngamdu town, apprehended two suspected terrorists identified as Haruna Adamu (32) and Ibrahim Adamu (20). Preliminary investigations indicate that the suspects fled from Zamfara State into Yobe State. Items recovered from them include a smartphone, keypad phone, power bank, identification card, suspected illicit substances, charms, and other personal effects. The suspects have since been handed over to the appropriate authorities for further investigation. In a related operation, troops of 254 Battalion under Headquarters Sector 2 arrested a suspected Boko Haram/ISWAP informant, Ali Muhammad (30), at Ngamdu Market. The suspect, who had been on the unit’s watchlist, was found in possession of su.s of cash, a keypad mobile phone, a wallet containing identification cards, charms, a knife, and an exercise book containing phone numbers of suspected terrorist contacts. He has been handed over to Sector 2 Headquarters for detailed interrogation. The arrest is considered a major disruption to the intelligence network of terrorist elements operating within the area. Similarly, troops of OPHK , during a night operation around Mubi general area of Adamawa State, arrested five suspected drug peddlers found in possession of various items, including ammunition. The suspects are currently in custody undergoing further investigation.

In another operation, troops of OPHK deployed in Madagali, in collaboration with members of the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF), responded swiftly to a distress call on a kidnapping incident in Madagali Local Government Area of Adamawa State. The joint team successfully rescued two kidnapped victims, Barnabas Apagu (12) and Ruth Apagu (10), while efforts are ongoing to secure the safe release of other abducted persons still in captivity. Additionally, troops of OPHK, deployed in Kukareta area of Yobe State, recovered a hand grenade suspected to have been abandoned by fleeing terrorists. The explosive device was safely secured in line with established procedures.

TROOPS SMASHES BANDIT STRONGHOLDS IN BAUCHI, RESCUES HOSTAGES RECOVERS ARMS

Troops of 33 Artillery Brigade under Operation WUTAN DAJI have recorded a significant operational success following a coordinated clearance operation in Kumbodoro Forest and Kumbodoro Village in Bauchi State. The offensive offensive operation dealt a major setback to bandit networks operating within the area.

Troops successfully cleared multiple bandit enclaves, including the notorious Azuge camps within the Kumbodoro Forest axis. Supported by the Air Component, the troops neutralised several bandits and dismantled key operational bases, further degrading the criminals’ capability to threaten lives and property of citizens. The operation led to rescue of eight kidnapped victims.

A thorough search of the bandits enclave led to the recovery of cache of arms and equipment, including 4 skeletal rifles, 4 dane guns, one FN rifle magazine, one AK-47 magazine, as well as communication devices and other operational items.
Other recovered items include 2 pairs of boots, 3 helmets, one power bank, one StarTimes decoder, QJC meta links, one jackknife, 6 mobile handsets, arrows, radio chargers, OPAY ATM cards, photographs, an identity card, several pairs of security agency uniforms and leg chains.

Relatedly, troops deployed at Duguri while acting on credible intelligence, recovered 36 cows at Mushen Kura Village in collaboration with local vigilantes. The livestock are believed to have been abandoned by fleeing bandits due to sustained military pressure. Efforts are ongoing to identify and return the animals to their rightful owners.

The Nigerian Army remains resolute in its mission to restore peace and stability across all theatres of operation, leveraging intelligence-driven operations, joint force synergy and strategic partnerships to deny bandits and terrorists any safe haven.

Jilli is a border settlement between Borno, the birthplace of Boko Haram and Yobe, a state carved out of the old Borno state.

Borno state itself was created out of the old North Eastern state and it was named after the famous Borno empire.

Jilli lies between Gubio local government area of the state and Geidam local government area of Yobe state

According to Professor Babagana Zulum, the governor of Borno state, Jilli market became so notorious a hub for terrorists and their logistics suppliers that it was shut down by his government five whole years ago.

But after shutting it down, insurgents and their logistics suppliers still use the market to trade in rustled animals, illegal weapons, fuel and other supplies needed to continue running the business of terrorism.

But after a General and his aides were killed in a recent attack, the military went back to the drawing board and following some intelligence reports that collaborate with what one of the attackers, a young boy that should be in JSS 3 or SS 1 if he had come to this world through more responsible parents, the military hit the terrorist hub in a most devastating dimension that took away the lives of a hundred of these terrorists and their logistics suppliers.

Jilli market was not the only market the government of the Borno state shut down for aiding terrorism. Gazabure market was also closed by the Zulum administration in order to cut supplies to these murderous terrorists.

But unfortunately for the unfortunate ones who love these terrorists more than they love the country and their media arm, they flooded the air with the story that civilians were killed in a military airstrike and they called it another mistake.

These wicked souls were led by a former vice president of the country who thinks that except he becomes president by any means, God has not favoured him in life.

The media arm was led by Daily Trust, a media house that is in love with fake and destructive news for whatever gains they stand to get from engaging in such all the time.

Or have you forgotten how the newspaper lied that through the Samoa Agreement, the Tinubu government was signing Nigeria into same sex marriage and kn*cking as a state approved policy?

Only to later send out a watery apology after they've sold the lie to clerics up North just to make them make their congregants hate the government and by extension the country more so that foreign flags can be held in case another zanga-zanga occurs.

These elements are 'angry' if insurgents killed our soldiers but they are even angrier any time the military launch a successful attack against them and they quickly rush to say that innocent civilians have been killed.

I do not expect Atiku to delete that lie that it was an attack on civilians.

These are insurgents whose activities they think can give them political leverage against the incumbent, Bola Ahmed Tinubu but they will not succeed.

More and more insurgents will be dispatched to their maker including their logistics suppliers if they're caught in the cross fire.

The government of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will not succumb to blackmail by those who should be more concerned that their homeland have become the home of terror because the locals are also involved in one way or the other in the business of terrorism.

Those who should be worried that a 15 year old can easily be picked from the street and enlisted into a terrorist organization because his parents do not even know his whereabouts.

Nigeria government through the Nigerian military will not give up on this fight against terrorism no matter the magnitude of the damaging propaganda against it.

Troops arrest 20 suspects, recover cash, electronics in Adamawa raid

Troops of 232 Battalion (Tactical) have arrested 20 suspects and recovered cash and electronics during a raid on suspected criminal hideouts in Mubi North Local Government Area of Adamawa State.

Security sources said the operation was conducted at about 5:00 a.m. on April 10 in Agwan Rami and Agwan Mallam areas, following credible intelligence.

The sources disclosed that troops, in collaboration with local hunters, stormed the identified hideouts and apprehended the suspects.

“During the operation, 20 suspects were arrested in criminal hideouts, while others were picked up for loitering during curfew hours,” the source said.

Items recovered include seven mobile phones, eight touch lights, one ThinkPad laptop and the sum of ₦2,137,285, among other items.

The suspects are currently in custody for further investigation and necessary action.

The operation is part of ongoing efforts to curb criminal activities and enforce law and order in Adamawa State.
