Terrible tragedy occurring last night in Sacramento. I reached out to @SacPoliceChief to offer our support and assistance. My hope is we can come up with long-term solutions to gun violence in our state/nation. https://t.co/ENfB3g8kvf
Congratulations to Sheriff Mims on her retirement announcement at the end of 2022, after 16 years as Fresno County Sheriff (first female sheriff) and 42 total years in law enforcement. Our community owes you a debt of gratitude. Thank you for your friendship and support!
Earlier this week I had the pleasure of promoting Sgt. Ignacio Ruiz to Lieutenant. He is a 23-year veteran with a masters degree who’s proven himself a great leader in various difficult assignments. Lt. Ruiz will be our evening field commander in the Southwest Policing District.
A big thanks to all of our local, county, state, and federal partners who helped with Operations Safe Neighborhoods. Almost 200 arrests and 40 guns off the streets in just one week! No homicides and only one shooting victim.
A big thanks to @Fresno_Chamber for inviting me to sit on their Criminal Justice Panel yesterday evening. I enjoyed sharing my perspective on our city’s challenges with recruiting, violent crime and community outreach. DA Smittcamp and Sheriff Mims also attended.
Saving lives is at the heart of what we do. @FresnoPolice Chief @BalderramaPaco knows how important #donating#blood is and wants to encourage you to visit a donor center near you. Walk-ins are welcome or visit https://t.co/KhZ1j1e1Bc to schedule an appointment today! #save
Congratulations Officer Lopez for completing your training! Officer Lopez is excited to join his fellow officers in the streets of Fresno, and continue to be part of the positive change at the Fresno Police Department.
The barricaded robbery/car jacking suspect off of E. Copper and Chestnut Ave. was taken into custody without incident. Great job by @FresnoPolice SWAT, Crisis Negotiators, NE Policing District, Investigations, and the rest of the team.
Our Fresno community needs your help! Valley blood is needed @CenCABlood! It only takes an hour of your time, and a little of your blood to save a life!
