It’s #MensHealthWeek which is all about reminding men about the importance of maintaining a healthy body and mind. This year the theme of the week is ‘take action on #Covid19’.
Men are twice as likely to die from Covid19 than women. Don’t ignore the virus https://t.co/v6yH7VYoNd
Angela Johnson.....one of our many nurses redeployed to help us out in @ITUHDU_Southend. We certainly couldn't do it without you🙏! Looking hot.....but bet you looked even hotter many hours later! These yellow suits are like mobile saunas!!! #MSEheroes 🥵😷🐔#COVID19
A recent study of hypoxic awake patients with #COVID19 suggests that self-proning was associated, for most of them, with marked improvements in oxygen saturation (SpO2).
Authors of the study recommend early proning when possible.

Yesterday was my last day as Deputy DON @SouthendNHS. A real privilege to work with such great people. Humbled by the many good wishes & happy to take so many joyful memories with me. Stay safe, be kind to each other & stay fabulous @MSEHospitals@stephwilsonsays @SafeAtSouthend

Today we received more two way voice activated walky talkies and they have been to delivered to the COVID HOT areas - this means doctors and nurses can communicate really easily with each other from the isolated bays - Thankyou @JacquiThornton1 -
The Village Chinese Canvey island donated meals to Southend hospital staff this evening. Another example of the kindness and generosity of people supporting their NHS. Thank you so much #Southend @ITUHDU_Southend @SafeAtSouthend @CCOT_Southend@CanveyIsIand@NHSEastEngland
Visors donated for Critical Care Staff. Thank you to the continued amazing support we are receiving from the people of Essex. We have had food, drinks, creams and today we received visors. We are humbled by people’s generosity and support. @CCOT_Southend @ITUHDU_Southend
Thank again to all of you who did the right thing and stayed home this weekend.
We hope you were still able to enjoy the lovely warm weather but at home 😎🌞🏡
