Friar Family,
@Kevin_Farrahar, @THarknessStats & I are back & we discuss:
1. Jacob Bannarbie’s commitment (I’ll get his last name right)
2. The Hodgson Interview
3. The NBA Combine
Our old friend Rafael Castro is getting a lot of love these days

Anyone else remember this one? Providence vs. Boston College in the TD Garden a few years after the Eagles jumped to the ACC.
Weyinmi Efejuku with the late heroics for the Friars and Greedy Peterson adds the exclamation point. From December 2007:
Friar Family,
I remember just like it was yesterday meeting fellow 2014 Friar Bryce Cotton. Super humble, focused and ready for greatness in ways we couldn’t have imagined at the time
@Kevin_Farrahar has always been one to say don’t forget about John Linehan when talking about PC’s best defensive players
Check out our thoughts on the well deserved induction into the PC Hall of Fame for two Friar all-time greats

@SARASOTABRYAN It’s similar and different from Kim, because his teams grab offensive rebounds and play defense. Curious to see how it all comes together but I do think size at the 4 is an interesting topic
A couple notes heading into the meat of the offseason Friar Family
1. In terms of the 5 Spot - Do people think it’s going to be a battle between Page and Aletan or is Page’s upside (even though inconsistent) enough to land him a starting spot?
2. How do people feel on Sabol vs Vanterpool? Sabol feels like a more obvious sixth man role from the eye test but those 120 threes last season could make it hard to keep him off the floor
3. Is the lack of size in certain lineups, especially at the 4 a noteworthy offseason topic?
@ryan3alger I mean Mela is probably the 7th man in this pecking order BUT things can change really quickly as we learn every single season
Hightower will get some burn
From Dink Pate's ceiling to where Providence's new center duo rates among the Big East, here's a look at four key questions facing the Friars following a strong roster rebuild this spring.

Rhode Island vs Rhode Island in the NBA finals!!!

Tyler Kolek with the Knicks & Jimmy Baron (asst coach) with the Spurs, this is legendary! 🔥🔥🔥
Half of the starters in the NBA Finals are out of the Big East:
Knicks:
Jalen Brunson (Villanova)
Mikal Bridges (Villanova)
Josh Hart (Villanova)
Spurs:
Stephon Castle (Connecticut)
Julian Champagnie (St. John’s)
I caught up with Joe Mazzulla's high school basketball coach (current @HendrickenAth basketball coach & AD) Jamal Gomes about Mazzulla's COY honor.
He shared that Mazzulla quietly paid a visit to Hendricken over the winter to speak with students, but he wouldn't let the school retire his jersey.
"He wanted to come back and spend time with the students and reminisce about his time here at Hendricken. He was not about the fanfare, getting awards, any of that." @NBC10
Off and running at The Big East Film Room with @THarknessStats batting leadoff.
Tom breaks down Seton Hall to UConn transfer Najai Hines, who had the second-best shot block percentage in the country as a freshman. He has a huge opportunity ahead of him in Storrs.
Here's a look at Hines on both ends of the floor.
This Top 5 Bars trend got me thinking…
So here’s what I got:
1. Baseball Tavern - Fenway, MA (You just had to be there to understand)
2. Ocean Mist - Matunuck, RI
3. Timothy O’Tooles - Chicago, IL
4. Skybar Auburn - Auburn, Alabama
5. The Original Clubbies (Now Strive) - PC!
The BE Film Room will go live one week from today!
Kevin (@Kevin_Farrahar) and I are fired up to get this going. We’ve got a ton in the chamber, and we can’t wait to start rolling it out.
A huge thank you to everyone for all of the support so far; we really appreciate it!
Johnny Buckets announced via his Instagram he is staying in Friartown for his first season of eligibility.
If you haven’t gotten to know Johnny - check-out our discussion last season:

Excited he is remaining a Friar!
Woke up to a pretty cool feature on @On3 from @Kevin_Farrahar and I’s interview with Bryan Tibaldi last season
But this does raise the question - why did Kim turn down UNC for his close friend to take his spot?
