What a weekend for Waterford Handball! Nine Déise players battled it out in the Munster A Juvenile 4-Wall Handball Championship across Carrick-on-Suir, Liscarroll, and Silvermines on Friday evening.

Congratulations to TY student Mochara Fraher, he captained the winning U16 Munster team for the Inter Provincial Sea Angling Championships held in Waterford recently. Mochara and the Irish team will take on England, Scotland and Wales. Best of luck.
Friday 14th February, three coaches departed our school and all roads led to Croke Park.
The students enjoyed a wonderful tour of Croke Park and the GAA museum.
Next stop was Glasnevin Cemetery , followed by a trip to Dundrum shopping centre.
A wonderful day was had by all.

Huge well done to the 15 TY girls @friarycollege who started their two-day BadminTEEN programme today. This is a Badminton Ireland programme that is being run in partnership with Waterford Sports Partnership and funded through the Sport Ireland HER Moves initiative.

Eddie & Lucy Raicevic and Ruby Stockwell competed in Santry last weekend.
Eddie came 2nd overall in the All Irelands and 1st in Munster in the Heptathlon.
Both Lucy and Ruby competed in the pentathlon finishing 8th and 10th in the All Irelands

Our 1st Year’s exited the Munster Cup at the last 16 stage as we came up against a strong St Caimins side
Our girls battled to the end with Georgia getting a deserved goal as she finished off a well worked move.

It was a slow burner of a cup game that really became a fire cracker in the last 20 minutes. 2 very well taken goals by Laura Beresford. Everyone showed real Friary Spirit on and off the field. Girl of the game was Niamh Crotty.

A titanic effort from our Senior Ladies saw them overcome a talented Loreto Clonmel team today in the Friary.
It was captain Lia who scored the all important goal.
We now advance to a Munster A semifinal.

After it was the turn of our Junior team who won 3-1 .

A fantastic win for our U15 soccer team in the first round of the Munster Cup against a good Abbey Community College team.
