@Miunih It was a disingenuous reply to a disingenuous tweet, though there is a valid point: WP groups have no qualms about getting as much outside assistance as possible, legit or not. Why say anything about sims at all when we know they'd jump on them if they were available during WP?
@eiryla I don't think they're actually equating them, it's more pointing out that both are outside assistance and WP teams aren't shy about having a ton of that. At the end of the day, you still have to do the mechanic honestly in game.
@cleeeees@Mitsuhatesyou@Regar_XIV I mean Regar's post is also disingenuous and even hypocritical. Having the level of outside help that WP teams get is definitely not intended or available to everyone, and undeniably a huge help in reducing the input and attention needed in keeping track of everything vs 8 man.
@Paladinight0@Pal0oka On the flip side, SE is also increasingly relying on pretty annoying and arguably cheesy things such as long memory mechanics as well as unclear/disappearing telegraphs over clear debuffs and execution checks. SE themselves are not helping the third party situation.
@greywalkerr You missed the point and are absolutely clueless if you think the top 3 teams didn't cheat. Every team has cheated in world races through using third party apps (not meaning disc or ACT), datamining, etc, for years. The whole point is not to scrutinize one team over another.
@PKcrashbash@ToniNottford I am not sure people should want to open that can of worms as it will show everyone cheating, and may be what finally forces official action against plugins and affect the modding that is so precious to many NA players.
@PKcrashbash@ToniNottford Because when it comes to the Mogtalk list of stream teams, we have visible plugin use and no vetting on what overlays etc are being hidden from stream. If we actually investigate everyone, people are quickly going to realize the list of rules on Mogtalk was only for appearances.
@Miunih Attacking him is not okay at all, however I think the issue is one he helped create with the emphasis on being in mogtalk+streaming=legitimacy. We know every team is cheating, but Frosty helped create this arbitrary standard/belief that those streaming with mogtalk aren't.
In my personal belief, I recognize the recent UMAD clear as the official world first clear. It is a win even if it was not streamed. Unless there is evidence, there is no need to speculate about cheating.
@PotatoePet@MogTalkTweets@FrostyMog Brother, EVERY world racing team cheats, some just hide it better than others. Refusal to acknowledge a clear off the race platform is a conflict of interest, and additional scrutiny of those teams over ones on the platform is a double standard.
