I find it incredibly surreal that a little over a year ago I was visiting Julian Assange in a supermax prison in London. We didn’t know if he would ever be free. But today we enjoyed the sun and ocean breeze together, and he has a better sun tan than me! Life is beautiful.
The Six Billion Dollar Man, an award-winning documentary and recent Golden Globe winner, premieres at the Cannes Film Festival. It traces WikiLeaks’ groundbreaking publications, the persecution that followed, and the campaign that secured Julian Assange’s release from Belmarsh prison.
The film is an unflinching account of war crimes, surveillance, state power, and the human cost of exposing the truth.
Julian Assange appears at Cannes alongside Stella, Kristinn Hrafnsson, Joseph Farrell, Eugene Jarecki, Rafael Correa, Jen Robinson, and the team behind the film.
Stella Assange wore a brooch depicting British designer Vivienne Westwood holding a sign reading Stop Killing, which signifies one of the film’s most urgent messages — a call for justice, accountability, and an end to the violence exposed in WikiLeaks’ revelations.

Julian Assange - "None of the statements, resolutions, reports, films, articles, events, fundraisers, protests, and letters over the last 14 years should have been necessary. But all of them were necessary because without them I never would have seen the light of day"

"Now Julian is free, we have all come to Rome to express our family’s gratitude for the Pope’s support during Julian’s persecution. Our children and I had the honor of meeting Pope Francis in June 2023 to discuss how to free Julian from Belmarsh prison. Francis wrote to Julian in prison and even proposed to grant him asylum at the Vatican." - Stella Assange
Two former political prisoners meet in Rome: Julian Assange met with President @LulaOficial to thank him personally for enabling his wife Stella's audience with Pope Francis (in 2023) and for the President's supportive statements during his imprisonment. Alegria de sermos livres e estarmos juntos — muito obrigado, presidente Lula.

I’m being warned of multiple fake accounts posing as Julian on FB, TG, X etc.
Julian is not currently on ANY social media. I and @wikileaks will announce and verify any accounts he does eventually use.
People posing as Julian are either trying to scam you, manipulate you or harm Julian’s reputation. Please report them.
Yesterday, Zelensky's military recruiters snatched another young man off the street, threw him into a black van as he screamed, and left behind his dog.
Thousands of videos online show Ukraine forcibly drafting young men to fight in an unwinnable war.
"Heute, denkt daran, dass es gut ist, zu versuchen, die Schwachen durch Wissen zu stärken und die Machenschaften der Mächtigen ans Licht zu bringen"
