Two weeks ago, as families slept in their homes shortly before sunrise, armed Hamas terrorists went from house to house, murdering them. Their express goal was to kill as many civilians as possible.

This seemingly uncontroversial principle requires universal condemnation when Jews are massacred, as they were two weeks ago in a day unprecedented since the Holocaust, and also requires self-defense against groups like Hamas sworn to our destruction.
