Everyone was spellbound with the life and times of Ludovic, and his expeditions to far away places in pursuit of knowledge of the heavenly skies. ✨☄️

1840 - Lord Bal, Earl 24, with his staff beside newly completed Haigh Hall.
Architect for the Hall and the Plantation Gates.
He could build solid masonry, it is still as solid today … almost 200 years later.

The once green Parbold Stone now cleaned and looking so good.
Cracked chimney pots sent away for moulds to be recast.
They have sent a version of each pot.
Such attention to detail.❤️

Revolutionary, knocked down old Hall 1824, built new Hall.
‘Of manly appearance, can ride, fence and dance well’.
Inventor: wind barometer, a self winding water clock,
1834, created his very own espresso machine.

Stone cleaning works are coming on a treat.
Goodbye green mouldy walls caused by leaking ‘rainwater goods’
