We received no nominations to the board this year. (Nominations are required to be submitted one week prior to the AGM). The board is happy to have Dr. John Hall, Mark Stortini and Janet Hepburn remain on the board by acclamation.
Mark Stortini, trustee gives us a 2021 update and touches on 22’ plans. “Thanks Kelsey and Leann for the work you do because the numbers do tell the story” That speaks to the one thing we’re trying to do which is get our name out there in the community more so ..
Expenses- disbursements $6300 in 2021. We had less submissions and we think that is attributed to no Friends of Dover events for request to formally come in. $54,000 net in 2021 fiscal year.
“We did receive some very generous donations over the year and we would like to note the $25,000 from John Wells” “In 2019 as a comparable our last fundraiser was mini golf that brought in 16,000 but during covid we managed to fundraise $37,000 with our Telethon” - Kelsey
“2021 and 2020 were unique years to operate through the pandemic and they are not comparable to previous years” Only $4000 came in for Friends of Port Dover as we stopped hosting those. General donations are down slightly in 2020. -Kelsey Wallace
Trustee Janet Hepburn discusses the 2020 AGM minutes as a refresher to see the differences over the last year. Our trustee Kelsey is going to discuss financials for the year end.
Introduction from our chair Dr. Hall mentioning the success of the year despite Covid-19. Our telethon and in memorial donations were notable for our successes. #PDFoundation
