Friends of Parkwood Springs

Voluntary group formed in 2010, we help to protect & conserve the wildlife & natural environment & improve the green space of Parkwood Springs.

[Friends of Parkwood Springs @FriendsofPWS]

The conditions were too icy for us volunteers to have our conservation session, but our intrepid rangers are made of sterner stuff!

They did some work on the paths and Katy has shared these photos

[Friends of Parkwood Springs @FriendsofPWS]

We had a great final conservation session of the year yesterday bashing the self-seeded broom that is threatening to overwhelm some of our precious lowland heath.

There were lots of common puffballs growing too. We wish everyone a peaceful holiday and new year!

[Friends of Parkwood Springs @FriendsofPWS]

Have a break from your Christmas preparations and join us for the last Friends group Conservation Session of 2024.

Mince pies, festive biscuits and convivial chat will be available in our mid-session break.

Meet on the Shirecliffe Road car park at 10am tomorrow!
