@allenvonghornet ill die on the hill that p1 has the best use of villains just by the nature of not being relliant on a calendar system or the need to make everything “a surprise/shock.” those characters get their time to breathe, for however little time they get
@HAmorata these people will think theyre above gun and ball gamers, when every gun and ball gamer anyones ever known has *very* explicit thoughts about guns and movement in modern warfare, or mycareer VC in 2k
which is often enough to impact their willingness to get the next one
@NineOuh90 i have difficulty believing that anyone who even just played world or rise, had any trouble fighting non-tempered+highest rank monsters in wilds (other than, like, omega savage). but lo and behold, it happens
@TheSojum@Niflheimm155983 destiny 2 has gone through years of the most ass-backwards nerfs ever in pursuit of the most optimized endgame ever. now that the game is ceasing development, theyre just giving people back all the fun shit they used to have and stuff theyve been asking about for years
@SpettM@Dreamboum i dont disagree but insanity is 100% designed around remixing player expectations and knowing that you have access to ng+ equipment. it already had a hardcore mode before that
@Shadamence@Dreamboum@granchioscemo i wont let people gaslight me into thinking that base worlds didnt have more content than wilds does now. even the sidequests and ingredient hunting alone in worlds added more substance to playtime than almost anything in wilds, and thats before even touching worlds arena
@Dreamboum@granchioscemo welcome to one of several reasons why a lot of people kind of hated wilds content model, and havent really reeled back on that until the last TU or so.
@Dreamboum@DecayUnborn it should be mentioned 3 of the RE games you mentioned have one or multiple unlockable hard modes, with one of them letting you bypss the unlock via DLc
@Dreamboum well for RE the answer is “because their hardest difficulties are intentionally designed to incentivize ng+ equipment.” re2 remake let you play hardcore off the bat because it didnt really have much outside the infinite rocket, where 3R onwards has whole arsenals of gear
@WitherSDL@SophiaNarwitz i agree and im tired ot pretending inquisition wasnt leaps and bounds ahead of anything DA2 pretended it did right, even if it was still generally a worse overall experience than origins (trespasser was fucking amazing though)
@WitherSDL@SophiaNarwitz probably yeah. its also why inquisitions overworld is laid out very MMO like, and has the war table timers: to get you to spend time on the multiplayer mode
@WitherSDL@SophiaNarwitz naturally youll get a little extra dialogue if youre far along in the game, but, it doesnt “really” matter. *maybe* at least get your sibling to like, become a gray warden first for Legacy
@WitherSDL@SophiaNarwitz sorta. at your main base (your manor, or earlier in the story, your uncles crappy house) you can just pick a bust/statue that teleports you to a level-scaled instance of the dlc
