Just saw this and I’m actually hyped.
The Trump admin and Vice President Vance are drafting a rule so married couples with one parent at home can tap the same federal childcare fund working parents use. That’s about $9k a year per kid. First time that money could actually go to a parent who stays home instead of only to daycare.
Still a draft. Married couples only. Certain income ranges. And yeah, it would come from money that mostly goes to working (often single) parents right now.

But if it goes through? A lot of moms who want to be home could finally have a real option.

Also don’t sleep on the homeschool side.

They already opened 529s for homeschool expenses and that new education tax credit is starting to help families who teach their own kids. Stack that with this and some of us could actually stay home AND homeschool without going broke.

The CPT code system is meant to be this five-digit code that is a universal language for documenting and reporting for all the things that we do in healthcare back to insurance companies, right and ultimately, that affects reimbursement.

But here's a wrinkle that you might not have known.

The AMA also actually makes a recommendation to the government about a value that's assigned to the CPT codes that they own. That's right. They own the system. They're making money off of that, and then they're also recommending back to CMS and ultimately to insurance companies how much doctors and providers are paid for those codes.

That is quite a lot of power for one organization to hold over the money that's exchanged in this healthcare system.

So they're making that three hundred million dollars a year licensing it, but then they're also influencing what I get paid for everything that I do. Interesting…..”
