Wicked has recently premiered worldwide. It is the story of Elphaba, who becomes the Wicked Witch of the West, and her friendship with Glinda, who becomes the Good Witch. Karis Musongole, aged 10, plays the young Elphaba.

In 2 Chestnut, we have been reflecting on our learning from year 1. In year 2, our theme, ‘What do we do in winter?’ builds on learning from year 1. We’ve been reflecting on what we have already learnt about and sharing what we are looking forward to learning about this year.
This week, the children will be listening to Bangra music from Punjab. The song is called Bhabiye Akh Larh Gayi and was released in 1978 by the Bhujhangy Group.
2Simple have once again held their exciting, annual Festive Card Competition where children use Purple Mash, to submit a festive card. This year, there were over 10,000 entries from schools worldwide.

The owls came to visit One Sycamore. The children watched owls fly and eat food. They stroked owl feathers and asked lots of questions but the best bit was putting on a big glove and holding an owl.
5 Sycamore are having a great time designing their own games in computing. The different levels represent the different themes that we learn about in Year 5 and the children are being extremely imaginative when adding the surroundings, prizes and monsters.
This week, the children will be listening to some classical music from India. They will be listening to a piece of music called 'Sahela Ra' which was composed by Kishori Amonker in 1960.
