The game is in an interesting spot right now. Issues like stream sniping and throwing should’ve already been addressed. I still have hope in the team, and they sort out the problems the game is facing but, there is always going to be a back and forth with devs and the state of the game. Not everyone is going to be happy. Also, nothing in Game Development is as simple as saying “we are going to fix the problem”, since there are multiple teams you may have to communicate with to diagnose and figure out the problem, it can get convoluted very fast.

It feels like their priority is simply pumping out skins since that is what we see. It doesnt seem clear on where the game is heading, or what the future looks like. Riot works on patches way ahead of time; they are patches out on what we are currently playing on. For example, I've had stuff that has been in development for some time and is JUST NOW releasing. What I mean by this is that they are working on patches ahead of what we are currently playing, so they might say something is getting fixed, and sure, it might be. But then either something goes wrong, or they decided to place the fix/content in a future patch that is timed right for the community, then the cycle continues of the back and forth, and you continue to play.

Personally, I got back into VAL when Veto released and just stopped playing. Ranked feels bad to play, nothing feels rewarding. Its like a loss is yelling at me to get off the game. Ive found playing other games way more enjoyable than even booting up valorant. I also think its up to the community to fix VALORANT and not the devs, but that is a conversation for another time. We will get the yearly update somewhat soon, unless they abandoned that as well.
