@RealGandalph@PeterDClack Geology, physics, chemistry etc. They are not 'ideologies'. They are science. We've learned a vast amount in the last 200 years. Geology went from 'Noah's flood' to tectonics in about 130 years. CO2 being dominant driver of climate is a massive part of geology.
I have been a Jew for 91 yeqrs, a Green Party activist for 26. The Green Party is not anti-semitic. We are anti-Israel government because they have murdered thousands of children and are killing and destroying homes in the West Bak. We must do all we can to stop them.
@PeterDClack "For the past 34 million years - since the glaciation of Antarctica, and driven by tectonic shifts and changing ocean currents - ..." CO2 was the dominant factor.
@GerardAMorrow Earth system absorbs 239W/m2 from the sun. It emits 238.5W/m2 (ie almost exactly the same) to space from about 6km, where it is about -18°. If Earth had no atmosphere it would have to emit 239 from the surface and be -18°C to do that. But surface is 15°. You have to explain this.
@jjh875@Electroversenet Climate science began in 1820 when Fourier realised the sun only provides enough energy to heat Earth to -18° average, 33° colder than actual. No physicist has ever claimed to have disproved this, as far as I can ascertain.
@kpicord@AbiluTangwa 2/5 major mass extinctions are associated with high CO2 and high temperature. More if you include other extinction crises. 1-2/5 with low CO2 and low temperature. Obviously Chicxulub was impact, but there was also Deccan Traps (CO2, SO2) around that time as well.
@jponeil28921657@Askgerbil@DrKutney Rich people know the climate crisis is real. But they don't care enough to curb their lavish life styles. Is that so hard to fathom? Why the need for insults? I can explain the science. Or you can remain ignorant.
@jponeil28921657@Askgerbil@DrKutney I can't predict whether Putin will attack Nato countries. I can explain the science.
5° global cooling put ice up to a mile thick on northern England. It took 8,000 years to warm up.
Exxon Mobil director recently predicted 2.5-3° warming 24 years from now.
@jponeil28921657@Askgerbil@DrKutney I told you what I have...geology, physics, climate science going back 200 years. Even the oil companies agree. I told you this already. You have nothing, as you keep demonstrating. You clearly know a grand total of nothing. Not even the few half baked bits typical deniers post.
@jponeil28921657@Askgerbil@DrKutney You have nothing. Just your pathetic belief in a ridiculous conspiracy theory. You can't even be civil. Whereas I have science. All of it. And an education.
@Excalibur890@DrKutney This is what more or less all relevant geologists think. CO2 is determined primarily by the carbonate-silicate cycle over millions of years.
@jponeil28921657@Askgerbil@DrKutney Funny how all the world's geologists, physicists, climate scientists etc have all been in a scam for 200 years, and yet oil companies still haven't exposed it. In fact oil companies agree with them.
You would have to be a really moronic species to create a much higher superior artificial intelligence that you could never be on a level playing field with and always be vastly inferior if they let you survive at all
@rs79xx@DrKutney There are 12 independent organisations globally tracking temperature. One was set up to try to disprove warming. All produce almost identical results. Warming is accelerating. Earth has been warming since 1970. Before that, cooling from sulphur emissions negated it for a while.
