@mirandachats Well, enough people, or enough money. But there's definitely no deep-pocketed donors stumping for trans rights--quite the opposite, the richest man on Earth hates us because his estranged child and his ex-wife's girlfriend are both trans.

Cis allies, we desperately need you on this one. Call your congresspeople, ESPECIALLY if they're dems/you live in a blue state, and make very clear that caving on trans rights is NOT acceptable.

Indications are that Republicans will play shutdown politics over it. Meanwhile, some Dems indicate "they may compromise."

@mirandachats Nothing gets considered "must-pass" unless enough people make it clear to their reps that they insist on it. That's the only reason they're willing to take a stand on abortion, because there's a lot of women who are very vocally pissed about it (and rightfully so!)
