Australians crossed a strait on a homemade barge with a toilet to save money
Two Australian residents built a homemade barge with an outdoor toilet, a motor, and a barbecue to avoid paying more than 2,000 Australian dollars to deliver a toilet to Kangaroo Island.
Instead of a 45-minute ferry ride, they spent around four hours crossing the water. Along the way, they grilled sausages and ribs, and used the toilet for its intended purpose.
A video of the unusual journey went viral a year after the trip.
It may be PTSD but i think the tail risk is underpriced.
Very real chance of waking up to a -5% equities day like in August 2024 (Japanese carry trade shock).
I would not be so happily buying the AI stonks dips as many.
People still want to fade oil and chems so badly
Nobody believes it can last, and yet Hormuz still messed up and it's almost August
Half the year and you still think it goes away so you can buy your pedophile tech stocks
Climbing wall of worry
@negligible_cap Agree with the thesis but timing is important so you don't squeeze. Easy to see how they come out guns blazing with a new model and bunch of tools right before IPO to max extract. After retail apes in during the 1-2 days post IPO seems a safer entry (see $SPCX example)
@realroseceline For me is just a "show me" story regarding ARR guidance delivery, plus Beta to AI theme which may go into bubble territory. If by 3Q they say guidance looks comfortable, time to sell and wait for the equity raise.
@realroseceline ... several equity stakes on start ups (see recent fundraising rounds for value). However beyond YE it really depends on their capex appetite. Most likely they do another conver or raise in 4Q if guidance is on track to fund 2026+ growth.
