This face can be found in a dark corner just before Mary's monologue in the hallway. In SH2R it doesn't look quite the same, but in OG SH2 it resembles Mary, disfigured and yelling at James.
It's because this is how James remembers Mary's face during that conversation, when her illness had changed both her appearance and her behaviour.
Although in SH2R it looks different, it's still something from James' memories.
And although some people claim that this face means nothing and that it's just a coincidence, in the Lost Memories DVD there's a screenshot where the OG face is circled, to show that it's more important than it appears.
