Peter Ingram MBE
Dear all,
It is with great sadness that I write to tell you that Peter passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, 16th March.
Whilst he was a founder of The Apsley Paper Trail, few knew that this project began way back in 1988.
In 1990, supported by the paper industry, the pack was distributed to over 17,000 schools and colleges throughout the UK, coinciding with the full roll out of the National Curriculum. It was the unexpected response from these schools to visit a paper mill that the seed was sewn
More than 30 museum projects engaging communities in local science have been backed in the fifth round of the @royalsociety’s Places of Science scheme

Hertfordshire Museum Object of the Year
We are delighted that our fire-burnt beams from the old Visitor Centre have been included in the Hertfordshire Museum’s Object of the Year. The award seeks to highlight interesting artefacts in museum collections that are seldom seen.
Due to the devastating fire of 22nd January 2022, the Visitor Centre at Frogmore Paper Mill had to be demolished. Far from being a modern addition to the site, the former cafe, shop and museum were housed in the mill’s former storage sheds, constructed in 1880s and 1904.

Yesterday, St. Albans Youth Court sentenced two youths from Hemel Hempstead for arson in relation to a fire at Frogmore Paper Mill in January 2022. The boys, aged 15, pleaded guilty at an earlier hearing and have been given a 12 month referral order.
